Timo Nurminen is the CEO and founder of Frontier. He has spent most of his life living and working in the Middle East. Before establishing Frontier he founded one of Finland’s fastest growing IT company, Trackway which was sold to Stora Enso in 2007. Timo has a strong background in ICT, technology and military industry and has managed dozens of internationalization projects successfully in the region since 2008. He has Bsc Econ (hons) degree from the University of Wales and M.Phil with distinction from the University of Cambridge.
Mikko has a solid track record in seed investing and internationalization of the companies in Southeast Asia, Middle East and Europe. Before Frontier Seed Accelerator he founded and exited (2014) Calcus Group and TAEL Group, the international media companies which have operations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, The Philippines and Hong Kong and total have generated over 25 MEUR in sales over just a few years. Currently he is also the Chairman of Frontier Consulting. Mikko has accelerated and invested in Transfluent, Taxify, 10monkeys, TweetAtlas, Bookiwoo, Tribe Studios, Smarp, Sendhelper, Tulevaisuuden Työpaikat, Koukoi Games and Content Group International. Mikko is leading our rapidly growing operations in Singapore and Asia.
Jari Talvinen is a Board member of Frontier and he is heading our operations in Southeast Asia. Jari is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Paradise Investment & Consulting, an advisory and investment company focusing on the Southeast Asia markets. Jari has helped various companies from different industries to successfully establish and grow business in the Southeast Asia. He has a strong background in business development, consulting and sales from companies like IBM, PWC, Capman and Ericsson, in both Europe and in Asia. Most recently he worked as Head of Asia Pacific Region, Managing Director for Aalto University Executive Education based in Singapore. Jari holds a Ph.D. in Marketing & ICT from the Helsinki School of Economics (HSE).
